Post Office branch is saved from closure

PRESSURE from an MP and two councillors has saved a Plymouth post office from closure, after it was earmarked to go out of service.
Mutley Post Office will now remain open following a defiant campaign backed by city MP Luke Pollard and local councillors Angela Penrose and Matt Smith.
In a letter to the MP, the Post Office confirmed that the 'vital' post office will continue to operate, with customers able to access the same services and the same opening hours.
This reverses a decision made in November 2024 to earmark the service for closure.
