CLEVERLEY FRUSTRATED WITH A LACK OF QUALITY FROM ARGYLE
TOM Cleverley felt Plymouth Argyle did not do enough to deserve a win from their 1-1 League One draw with Wigan Athletic at a windy Home Park.
The Pilgrims put themselves in a good position to go on and secure maximum points when striker Lorent Tolaj scored with a 'Panenka' penalty in the 70th miniute as he chipped the ball down the centre of the goal as 'keeper Sam Tickle dived to his left.
However, they could not hold onto their lead as Wigan equalised in the 82nd minute when they made the most of some indecisive Argyle defending and Fraser Murray ran onto a pass from Christian Saydee before firing past Conor Hazard.
Cleverley said: "It's a disappointing point. First of all, I don't think it's an unfair point. I don't think we did enough to win the football match. I didn't think either team did.
"It looked like it had nil-nil written all over it, and it becomes a disappointing point when we get ahead. I didn't think Wigan did anything all afternoon to break us down, maybe got in our box a couple of times directly.
