Pensioner dies after 'choking on a pasty'

A PLYMOUTH pensioner died after chok- ing on a pasty - after she changed her menu choice, an inquest has heard.

Brenda Hill, of Westcott Close, had gone for lunch with her husband Bob to a cafe at the Kernow Mill at Trerulefoot, Cornwall, last May.

Truro Coroner's Court heard the 78-year- old, who had swallowing issues after a stroke, had ordered vegetable soup but was told it was not ready and changed her order to a meat pasty.
