ROYAL WILLIAM YARD SHOP OWNER PLANS OWN FASHION BRAND
THE owner of a Plymouth fashion boutique has big plans after the business got off to a successful start.
Zoe Groom opened Pebble, at the Royal William Yard, just four months ago and it has worked so well she is already making plans to start her own fashion brand.
It will be another step forward for a business that is still less than four years old and has already expanded from one store in Looe to a chain of four.
And for Zoe, a breast cancer survivor, her business success gives her the opportunity to give back to the community. She's already helping women and girls around the South West, raising cash for charity and providing employment and training for young women in her stores.
"This gives me a stronger platform," she said. "I want to help women in Plymouth."
Pebble was started in Zoe's home town of Looe in July 2022 and is now looking to the future after expanding outside of Cornwall for the first time.
The boutique was the second business to open in the Arcade, in the RWY's Brewhouse building.
The new "retail destination", was carved out of a large unit formerly used as a restaurant, but empty since The Club House shut in 2023.
