THE 19-YEAR-OLD MIDFIELDER IS CURRENTLY WITH THE ENGLAND UNDER-20S SQUAD
PLYMOUTH Argyle have completed the deadline-day signing of 19-year-old Middlesbrough midfielder Law McCabe on a season-long loan.
McCabe cannot join up with the Pilgrims just yet, though, because he has received a first call up to the England under-20s squad and they have a game against Italy at Chesterfield’s SMH Group Stadium on Friday night.
Middlesbrough-born McCabe is a product of Boro’s academy and has made a total of four starts and three substitute appearances at first team level. He played four times for England at under-18 level during the 2023/24 campaign.
Argyle head coach Tom Cleverley said: “Law is an exceptional young talent who is highly thought of by everyone at Middlesbrough. “He is technically very good, excellent on the ball and will complement the style of play we are looking to implement, perfectly.
“He is currently away with England U20s which shows the talent he has at his disposal, and I look forward to working with him when he joins up with the squad after international duty.”
