DEFENDER INSISTED HE WOULD PLAY ON
NIKOLA Katic wanted to play on for as long as possible for Plymouth Argyle despite a leg injury during the 2-1 win away to Preston North End on Saturday.
Head coach Miron Muslic described Katic's issue as 'a dead leg' and that he had suggested the Bosnia-Herzegovina defender came off at half-time. Argyle had been forced to take off another of their three centre-backs just before the break because of an injury to Julio Pleguezuelo and Katic was adamant he would carry on.
