Don't settle for a church tribute act

IMAGINE you were introducing a friend to a band you liked that they'd never heard of but are still touring - maybe one playing at Plymouth Sounds in June.

There are many ways you could introduce your friend to that band, but let’s imagine you decide to take them to see a tribute band at a venue in the city.

Unfortunately, it’s an outfit put together on the fly, who don’t know the lyrics, can’t hold a tune and are rubbish at playing. They suck.

How frustrated would you be if your friend then dismissed your favourite band because of a poor tribute act?

Thankfully, there are other options - listen on Spotify, watch some YouTube footage or go and see the real thing.
