CITY WOMAN SHEDS POUNDS WITH SLIMMING GROUP
A PLYMOUTH woman has shared how losing her sister pushed her to lose weight and live a healthier life.
When Kerry Harris walked back into her local Slimming World group, she knew she had reached a turning point.
Years earlier, she had achieved something she never thought possible, losing four stone and proudly reaching her target weight.
But after leaving the group, life's pressures crept in, old habits returned, and so did the pounds. With the weight came a dip in confidence, health problems, and the feeling life was becoming harder.
"I always pulled muscles just from walking," Kerry said. "I knew I didn't look or feel good, and I hated how much it was affecting me. Even simple activities became a struggle. I'd had enough, so I decided it was time to change my life and get back on track."
Since rejoining, Kerry has lost three stone, regained her energy, and rebuilt her self-belief.
But Kerry's journey hasn't been without challenges. Earlier this year, she suffered a devastating loss when her sister passed away after a long battle with cancer.
"Watching her go through this horrible disease and seeing how incredibly strong she was made me stronger as a person," Kerry said.
