On a sodden pitch at The Dripping Pan, Argyle delivered a dominant and controlled performance, with Phoebie Poole scoring twice and Tianna Teisar adding a third in the second half to cap off a deserved win and a clean sheet.

The result sees Marie Hourihan’s side reach the semifinals of the competition for a second consecutive season, matching last year's run to the final four, and they will now hope to go one step further this time around.

Despite being without inform striker Una Lue, who was unavailable after being cup-tied following her involvement earlier in the competition with her former club, Argyle showed their attacking depth, pressing effectively and creating chances throughout in difficult conditions.

Following the 3-1 FAWNL Southern Premier Division defeat by Watford at Home Park the previous Saturday, the Greens produced the reaction they were looking for, controlling proceedings from the opening stages and limiting Lewes to few opportunities as they managed the game professionally from start to finish.

Hourihan said the response from her side was exactly what she had been looking for, praising their intensity and work without the ball. She felt Argyle were excellent from the opening whistle, with the tempo and pressing levels setting the tone for the afternoon.
