Palestinian doctor 'being held in Israeli prison camp'

One of the few doctors still working in northern Gaza has been taken to an Israeli prison and his hospital has been shut down, his family have said.
Hussam Abu Safiya, the director of Kamal Adwan hospital in Gaza's Jabalia refugee camp, was initially taken to the Sde Teiman prison hospital, according to his son who believes the doctor's leg was injured during an Israeli ground raid on his hospital.
"We are so worried, we haven't been able to sleep for three days because we didn't know until today where he is," said Idrees Abu Safiya.
Dr Muneer al-Boursh, the director of the Palestinian health ministry in Gaza, said that according to witness accounts Abu Safiya had been beaten and had injuries.
