Lions demand to face Wallaby players in tour matches

The British & Irish Lions chief executive has made clear the touring side expects Joe Schmidt to make his Wallaby players available for their Super Rugby teams in the pre-Test series of matches in Australia.
"The agreement is very clear; it says that Test players have to be released to play in fixtures leading into that series," Ben Calveley said at the Lions' official welcome. "That is our expectation. It's really important that these games are competitive.
