Role of Pak Military in Baluchistan: Protector or Oppressor
The Global Kashmir
|April 11, 2025
Baluchistan exists in the middle of a region rich in cultural heritage and natural resources but the indigenous people continue to face a never-ending military agenda which dismantles their rights and dignity. Vast mineral resources in this strategically crucial Pakistani province have transformed into a continuous power contest through which military forces utilize numerous suppressive strategies for governing an area which its native people exclusively benefit from in small ways. Baluchistan exists as a story of severe human distress due to forced abductions and unlawful executions accompanied by extensive psychological warfare that divides local populations and stops people from speaking out. Multiple investigations from human rights organizations compiled evidence of ongoing state violence that proves the military employs force for controlling dissent instead of defence activities and obtaining territorial interests. Enforced disappearances of activists together with community leaders and ordinary citizens create a permanent absence of explanation that tears families apart and destroys both justice and security in the region. Each vanishing person creates an expanding collection of unresolved cases which demonstrates state authorities deviating from legal procedures for total domination. People who express criticism of the current system become victims of these secret operations which result in their sudden disappearance and act as direct warnings for other dissidents.
The systematic abduction of voices in Pakistan happens alongside extrajudicial killings to demonstrate the military's extensive use of state power as a weapon. Many individuals suffer secret execution because they have been accused of being separatist supporters or opponents of military operations in conditions without proper judiciary and procedural fairness. The violent execution methods including signs of violence against prisoners show extreme willingness by the Pakistani military to forego human life for military efficiency. The discovery of bodies in remote regions exposes the full brutality of repression because it demonstrates that all resistance faces absolutely brutal violence. State-perpetrated abuse violates international human rights commitments while it simultaneously pushes away people who have been neglected and mistreated
As asymbol of its distinct goal India demonstrates its dedication to create a global system based on peaceful dialogue and democratic processes instead of military coercive practices throughout the years.
