Youngster Lennon delighted as Darlo loan spell extended

CHARLIE Lennon has expressed his delight as his short-term loan move to Darlington has been extended until January.

The Boro academy forward joined Darlo last month and has enjoyed a fruitful spell in the National League North.
Most recently, he helped his side move into fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup - just one win away from the first round proper - with a productive display against Fylde.
He grabbed an assist in what was his third successive start for Steve Watson's side and, feeling like he's just getting started for the Quakers, he was delighted that Boro agreed to allow him an extended stay at Blackwell Meadows.
Lennon said: "I'm really enjoying my time on loan here and I'm really pleased to get it extended. We actually talked about the extension before I'd made my first start. They [Steve Watson and Darlington bosses] were saying they were really happy with me but I had to be patient.
