Will keeping our jab up help us win a fight with the flab?

I HADN't seen my friend for a few months when I bumped into her at a mutual chum's party the other week. And truth to tell, I could barely see her then.

The weight had fallen from her so dramatically she appeared to be a different person - one that could fit into size 8 clothes.

Now, this is a woman who was never hugely overweight. Perhaps she carried a stone or so extra after having kids and as mid-life advanced, but don't we all?

She certainly wasn't obese and quite capable of fitting into an airline seat without attracting a documentary film crew.

Neither had she ever been a natural gym bunny so what, I enquired as we stood at the bar, had prompted the drop in dress size?

Her answer lay in three little words - weight loss jabs.
