TVCA DEVELOPMENT CORPORATIONS LOOKING TO APPOINT NEW CHAIRS
APPLICATIONS are being considered for the chairships of Tees Valley Combined Authority's (TVCA) three development corporations.
The news comes following confirmation that Conservative Mayor Ben Houchen would step down from the three positions at TVCA Cabinet's AGM, which is scheduled to take place on June 27.
Up until this point, Mayor Houchen has chaired not only the combined authority's Cabinet meetings, but also the South Tees Development Corporation (STDC), the Middlesbrough Development Corporation and the Hartlepool Development Corporation (HDC).
The announcement from TVCA sets out that each of the three roles require a commitment of three days a month and that each position has a salary of £15,120 per year.
Appointments are made by Mayor Houchen for a period of up to four years.
