COMEDY classic Open All Hours ended with Ronnie Barker as shopkeeper Albert Arkwright coming up with a plan to get the love of his life rushing into his arms.
He reckoned if his nephew and shop errand boy Granville put on a stocking mask and pretended to be a burglar then his fiancée Nurse Gladys Emmanuel would flee to him for help and he could be her hero.
