People invited to share views on proposed Marton supermarket

PEOPLE are being invited to view plans and share their thoughts on a proposed new Lidl store in Marton.

The possibility of a new supermarket at the site of the former Marton Hotel and Country Club was reported in July last year.
The budget supermarket chain said proposals are now ready to be shared at a public consultation event later this month. The multi-million pound investment would feature an in-store bakery and 'Middle of Lidl' aisle, while creating around 40 new jobs.
The chain said the proposed store had been "sensitively designed" to fit in with the character of its surroundings on Stokesley Road, with landscaping and tree planting across the site.
