Ofsted vows to 'regain trust' of teaching staff

A SENIOR Ofsted inspector told a Teesside conference the education inspectorate would “regain the trust” of teachers after a huge shake-up.

The changes will put collaboration at the heart of future inspections, hundreds of education professionals were told at the conference.

Senior HM Inspector John Lucas was a keynote speaker at the third annual conference of the Prince Regent Street Trust at Hardwick Hall Hotel, near Sedgefield.

The trust manages five primary schools on Teesside: Hartburn Primary School; Village Primary School, in Thornaby; Wolviston Primary School; and Barley Fields Primary School, in Ingleby Barwick.

They will be joined by Oxbridge Lane Primary School, in Stockton, next month.
