THE battle for places in this Middlesbrough team is hotter than ever!
Everybody wants to be involved in the pulsating football that Kim Hellberg has introduced, but few players are absolutely guaranteed starting places.
Aidan Morris has been sidelined since suffering a leg injury against Coventry City but suddenly he is no longer guaranteed his role alongside Hayden Hackney on his potential return from injury.
The American has done a fantastic job since he was pitched straight into the side on his arrival from Columbus Crew. His energy levels have been superb and his work-rate top class.
Yet Morris is primarily a workhorse rather than a match-winner and it will be interesting to see how easily he fits back into Hellberg's lineup.
Hellberg has placed the emphasis primarily on everybody playing on the front foot and being creative, and Morris does not easily fit that bill.
