Mark and Rozi part of 'beating heart of NHS'

TWO Teesside healthcare support workers have been given awards recognising their commitment, compassion and dedication to providing exceptional support to nursing and midwifery practice.

The Chief Nursing Officer Awards were handed to Rozi Murray and Mark Bond both employed by South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust from NHS England.

Victoria Bagshaw, deputy director of workforce and education for NHS England (North East and Yorkshire) presented the awards with Lindsey Garica, director of nursing for South Tees Hospitals in a surprise ceremony at The James Cook University Hospital on Wednesday, April 1.

Mark has worked for the trust for more than 27 years, working on the intensive care unit before moving into theatres at the Friarage.

In his nomination he was described as having a natural ability to create connection and build confidence amongst others. He received the working together for patients CNO award for consistently supporting his colleagues to deliver the highest possible patient care.
