'Love rival' jailed over stabbing at petrol station

A MAN found guilty of wounding his rival during a “love triangle” stabbing at a petrol station has been locked up.
A jury found Scott Northmore guilty of wounding without intent after Bradley Moralee was stabbed in the stomach at the Shell petrol station on Thornaby Road. He was found not guilty of a more serious charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The 29-year-old claimed self defence as the Middlesbrough court previously heard details of the love rivalry, texts between the pair and Northmore's intimacies with the woman hours before the 5.30am attack. Last week, at Durham Crown Court, Northmore was jailed for 18 months.
