IT'S not every day that you see an extra special bird flying over your garden

But Mark Johnson from Hartburn was, naturally, absolutely delighted to see this relatively rare bird of prey in the air above his garden.

He said: “It's the first time I've seen one. It simply flew straight over, but great to see.

“I was actually waiting to take photos of the sparrowhawks which fly over daily. They often swoop down after prey or sometimes land on the fence, and we regularly see two or three buzzards.

“It's amazing what you can see from your own back garden in Hartburn.”

Hobbies are not too rare in southern Britain, but they are rarely spotted in Cleveland.
