Family vow to support charities in memory of Maggie

A DEVASTATED family has been hit by tragedy after a mum-of-three died suddenly while out walking.

Thornaby’s Maggie Howes started to feel unwell and collapsed while enjoying a walk.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services the 46-year-old died at the scene. Her heartbroken family are now rallying round for her daughters Molly, 21, Martha, 15, and seven-year-old Matilda.

They have also started a campaign to raise money for the teams who fought to save her.

Maggie's cousin, Klair Mullan, said they are all still in shock over Maggie's death as she was so fit and well and regularly enjoyed walking, especially up Roseberry Topping.
