A ROLL crammed with ham, pease pudding and a famous savoury snack is among the bestsellers at a new Stokesley sandwich shop.
"The Yorkshire Boi" is a hoagie bread roll filled with sliced Yorkshire ham, pease pudding, slaw, pickled onion... and pickled onion Monster Munch!
And while new sandwich bar Hood admits it's proved "controversial", it adds on its Facebook page: "Don't knock it 'til you try it!"
The Yorkshire Boi is one of several New York-style hoagie sandwiches available at Hood - the latest addition to Stokesley's thriving food scene. Opened by Alex Cook, who also owns The Mill and Il Mulino, it's a sandwich shop by day and cocktail bar at night.
A play on the word neighbourhood, Hood has a simple pricing strategy - £5 pints, £6 wines, £7 cocktails, £8 sandwiches and £10 pizzas. But don't expect a boring cheese and ham sandwich, with varieties including:
