'WONDERFUL NEWS' FOR AREA HIT BY CLOSURES

A BANKING hub will be coming in Yarm in a move hailed as “wonderful” news for an area hit by bank closures.
Conservative councillor for Yarm Andrew Sherris and Stockton West Conservative MP Matt Vickers have spoken of their delight of the news after campaigning for a “lifeline” for residents.
Link, the UK’s cash access and ATM network, has announced Yarm will receive a banking hub - a shared space similar to a traditional bank branch.
The hub, to be delivered by Cash Access UK adding to 186 hubs open across the UK, will include a counter service run by Post Office employ ees. Customers of any bank will be able to withdraw and deposit cash, pay bills, carry out banking transac tions, and talk to community bank ers.
