All change! Boro plan a new badge

MIDDLESBROUGH have officially notified the Football Association of their plans to change their club crest next season, after a consultation period with supporters.
Boro initially announced plans proposing a badge change last March and have been keen to involve supporters throughout the process.
The proposal is to launch the badge for the start of the 2026-27 season, which coincides with Boro’s 150th anniversary.
And after a consultation period with supporters, the club confirmed yesterday that they will be pushing ahead with the design process of the new badge after YouGov research found 58% of supporters were in favour of a new badge, with only 19% against the idea.
The survey involved over 21,000 Boro supporters who opted in to receive club communications.
