ROB Edwards will begin his journey as Middlesbrough's new head coach at home, as Boro welcome Swansea City to the Riverside on the first day of the new Championship season.
In a repeat of last season's first game, Boro will host the Swans on Saturday, August 9, with kick-off at 3pm.
As was the case last season, the game, and all Championship opening weekend fixtures, will be broadcast live by Sky Sports.
No doubt hoping to get off to a good start at Boro, they then have tough away games at expected top-six rivals in Millwall and Norwich City before finishing the first month of the season at home against Sheffield United.
