What's New in Cebu: Cebu's Topnotch Spas

As Metro Cebu continues to go strong and stronger, its revue of spas have leveled-up.

Mogambo Springs - the spa at Plantation Bay - is designed like an 18th century Japanese homestead. It’s not your usual massage or sauna. The spa keeps improving and adds new treatments. Last year, they launched Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, a noninvasive and painless treatment that delivers high concentrations of oxygen to the bloodstream.

This year, they introduced Sensory Isolation Float Tank Therapy, perfect for people like me who struggle to sleep. I was curious and a little nervous when I saw the huge tub with a cover. Inside, it’s filled with Epsom salt water. You can choose lights, music, or total silence. I chose to have the lights on and soft music playing because, well, I am a curious sleeper and also a bit of a control freak.
