SSS offers calamity loans
The Freeman
|November 10, 2025
The Social Security System (SSS) is now offering its members in Cebu affected by Typhoon Tino the Calamity Loan Program (CLP) until December 5, 2025, which aims to provide immediate financial relief as recovery efforts continue across Cebu.
This was announced by SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Joseph Montes de Claro in a statement. He noted that the CLP offers qualified members in Cebu immediate access to emergency funds to address their essential needs, complementing recovery initiatives by national and local government agencies.
"We understand how life-changing the devastation brought by Typhoon Tino is to workers and their families in Cebu. Our priority is to provide immediate, accessible support to help them get back on their feet," De Claro said.
