Seized substances positive for party drug ingredient

The powdery substances seized from an alleged drug laboratory in Barangay Zapatera, Cebu City have tested positive for a chemical used in the manufacture of party drugs.

Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7) Director Police Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan on Tuesday afternoon, July 1, confirmed that the substance was positive for methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA).
It was earlier reported that an alleged drug chemist, believed to be a source of ecstasy and cocaine, was arrested during a police raid on his residential unit, which had been converted into a drug laboratory, on Monday, June 30.
