Sara accuses House leadership of buying lawmakers' votes

Vice President Sara Duterte has accused the leadership of the House of Representatives of buying the signatures of lawmakers who signed in favor of the impeachment complaint against her in the form of "additional budget" for cash assistance.
-
Speaking during a campaign rally in Zamboanga City on Thursday night, Duterte called on the stage Zamboanga City First District Rep. Khymer Olaso who was running for mayor in the upcoming elections.
The Vice President said Olaso did not sign in favor of the impeachment complaint against her, and thus, was allegedly not given additional funds by the House leadership.
“You know what, I feel sorry for Khymer. He did not sign the impeachment complaint against me. And because he did not sign, he was not given a budget... Those who signed [in favor of the impeachment complaint], they are the ones who now have a huge budget to buy votes,” Duterte said in Filipino.
