RTWPB-7 grants P1K to P2K wage hike for Kasambahay

RTWPB-7 said the wage hike was determined after public consultations and hearings held on August 31, 2025. The discussions considered the socioeconomic conditions in Central Visayas, the needs of domestic workers and their families, as well as employers' capacity to pay.

The Board stressed that no exemption shall be allowed under this wage order. Employers and workers may also agree on a competency-based pay scheme that goes beyond the mandated minimum.
The order further provides that in cases where domestic workers are hired through licensed private employment agencies (PEAs), the prescribed wage rates shall be shouldered by the principals or clients, with agencies held jointly and severally liable if principals fail to comply.
