Police probe assault involving 12 minors

Following the circulation of a viral video showing 12 minors assaulting a man with epilepsy in Sitio Mahayahay I, Barangay Calamba, Cebu City, the Police Regional Office 7 (PRO-7) convened a case conference to address the incident.

The video, which surfaced online, captured the physical attack on a 21-year-old man around 4 a.m. on August 9. The footage showed at least 12 minors involved in the assault, which took place in the aforementioned area.
The meeting, attended by officials from the Cebu City Government, aimed to evaluate possible charges against those involved and to discuss the implementation of a diversion program for the minors.
