PBMM to visit flood-hit areas today

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will proceed with his visit to Cebu today, not for the long-awaited inauguration of Phase 1 of the Cebu Bus Rapid Transit (CBRT) system, but to personally extend support to communities devastated by Typhoon Tino.

The President is expected to visit mainly Liloan, one of the hardest-hit areas in Cebu, where at least 36 lives were lost due to the typhoon's onslaught.
His visit comes just weeks after his last trip to assess the condition of earthquake victims.
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has officially deferred the launching of the CBRT, which was initially scheduled for November 5 and later moved to today.
The postponement comes in light of the storm's impact, with DOTr officials opting to forego the event in solidarity with grieving families.
