Minglanilla, Talisay set for grudge rematch in Gullas Cup finals

The defending champion Abante Minglanilla and Talisay Askyon Agad knocked out their respective rivals to arrange a grudge rematch in the Finals of the Rhea Gullas Cup 2025 Cebu First District 21 Under Basketball Tournament last Sunday, September 14, at the Talisay City Sports Complex.

Minglanilla had to pass through a double overtime before ousting Sidlak Carcar, 106-101, while Talisay squandered a 17-point lead in the fourth quarter but held on to 77-72 victory over Naga Atong Garbo.
Minglanilla was enjoying a 13-point advantage, 62-49, in the last period but Carcar battled back with aplomb to force a 78-78 deadlock resulting in the first five-minute extension.
