Memorial facility breaks ground in Lapu-Lapu City

Rizon Property Holdings Corporation broke ground on its latest development, the Serenity Viewing Chapel, a modern, three-story funeral facility poised to transform end-of-life services in Lapu-Lapu City and the wider Metro Cebu region.
-
The project, unveiled in a ceremonial blessing and groundbreaking on-site, marks a significant expansion for “Haven of Peace Memorial Garden,” a rising player in the increasingly active Philippine memorial park real estate sector.
Positioned as a serene, accessible sanctuary for bereaved families, Serenity Viewing Chapel underscores Rizon Property’s ambition to meet growing urban demand for dignified, community-based memorial services—an offering historically centralized in Metro Cebu and nearby hubs.
The new facility will house 11 viewing chapels, including 2 luxury rooms with private amenities, 9 standard air-conditioned rooms, and shared features such as public lounges, a convenience store, and over 25 parking bays, some of which are designed for PWD accessibility. Elevators, a designated funeral vehicle garage, and a skylight-inspired architectural concept further reflect a modernized approach to funeral planning.
