Italian firm drives into Phl market with Southeast Asia confab in Cebu

Italian brake systems giant Brembo is signaling a bullish outlook on the Philippine market as it hosts its Southeast Asia Customer Conference in Cebu for the first time, gathering around 100 participants from across the region.

The move highlights the company's strategy to strengthen distributor ties and expand its footprint in the fast-growing automotive aftermarket, particularly in Southern Philippines.

The annual gathering held recently, previously held in Hanoi, Vietnam in 2024—underscores Brembo's increased regional engagement, even as the company maintains its current manufacturing footprint elsewhere in Asia.

Philippine partner BSB Junrose Corporation said the decision to bring the event to the Philippines reflects Brembo's confidence in the country's aftermarket potential.

“This marks a strong vote of confidence from Brembo. It reflects the brand’s belief in Asia’s growth—and in the Philippines’ strategic role within it,” said Valerie Bangayan, Director at BSB Junrose.
