DSWD, PWS vow support for Binaliw landslide victims

Following a site inspection, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-7 assures the provision of immediate support to families affected by the recent collapse at the Prime Waste Landfill in Barangay Binaliw, Cebu City.

DSWD Regional Director Shalaine Marie S. Lucero, together with Disaster Response Management Division Chief Lilibeth A. Cabiara, conducted an onsite visit to assess the situation and ensure the delivery of relief and psychosocial support.
Director Lucero personally met with families waiting at temporary tents near the site, providing updates and assuring them of the Department’s full assistance.
DSWD-7, in coordination with Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival, uniformed personnel, and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), continues to support the search and rescue operations while prioritizing the welfare of affected residents.
