DOLE releases payment rules ahead of upcoming holidays

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has issued Labor Advisory No. 05, Series of 2026, outlining the payment rules for employees during the upcoming regular holidays and a special (nonworking) day in April.
The advisory covers Maundy Thursday on April 2, Good Friday on April 3, Araw ng Kagitingan on April 9, and Black Saturday on April 4. It cites Proclamation No. 1006, Series of 2025, as the basis for the pay rules.
The guidelines were posted on the official social media account of the National Wages and Productivity Commission.
