DOH issues White Alert for Holy Week

The Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development has declared a "code white alert" and issued health reminders in the observance of Holy Week or Semana Santa 2025.

The code white alert ensures that medical personnel and emergency response teams are on standby across the region to provide immediate care to patients during the expected increase in public activities.
In a regional circular, DOH-7 required all medical center chiefs, health officers, and other concerned medical personnel to promote public health and safety during the religious observance.
The regional circular and signed by DOH-7 regional director Jaime Bernadas contains 12 key tips to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals engaging in travel, fasting, and religious activities.
