Developers laud road reopening, push for more infra

The reopening of V. Padriga Street on July 1 has been welcomed by Cebu’s top property developers, who view it as a much-needed step to ease traffic congestion in the busy Banilad-Talamban corridor, a key route to Cebu IT Park.
Padriga Street connects Cebu IT Park and Banilad Road.
The restored access road, which had been closed since 2019 due to a land dispute involving provincial government property, is now seen to help ease mobility and enhancing economic productivity across northern Cebu’s urban centers.
Ryan Bernard Go, President of Grand Land Inc., said the reopening delivers immediate traffic relief to one of Cebu’s most heavily used corridors.
“It’s a relief, especially during peak hours,” Go said in an interview.
