Authorities are alarmed by a series of accidents involving drivers who lost control of their vehicles.
-
Last May 1, 10 people, four of them children, were killed after a bus rammed four cars resulting in multiple collisions along the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway. The driver of the bus admitted that he fell asleep behind the wheel, causing the accident.
Then last Sunday a Sports Utility Vehicle killed two people, including one child, and hurt four others after it rammed the departure area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1.
