City's upland barangays still cut off after typhoon

Several upland and interior barangays in Cebu City remain partially cut off as the aftermath of Typhoon Tino continues to hamper road access and mobility.

Soil erosion, landslides, and damaged infrastructure have rendered several key routes impassable, complicating relief operations and delaying search and retrieval efforts in remote areas.
In Busay, identified by the city’s Command Center as “Garaje,” heavy soil erosion has destabilized the roadbed, prompting partial clearing operations.
As of 3:26 p.m. yesterday, November 5, the Cebu City Transportation Office confirmed that portions of Veterans Drive at Sitio Garaje are now passable, though slippery conditions persist due to mud and debris. Motorists are advised to use low gear and exercise caution.
