Bold infra vision for Cebu City
The Freeman
|May 09, 2025
Cebu City is on the brink of a dramatic transformation, led by Mayor Mike Rama’s ambitious vision of building a Singapore-like metropolis
-
At the heart of this vision is a wide-reaching infrastructure agenda designed to ease traffic, boost commerce, and enhance quality of life for every Cebuano.
Among the key projects is the Guadalupe ramp to the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX), a P5-billion initiative long championed by Rama.
This direct city center access to the expressway will significantly cut travel time, reduce congestion in the SRP area, and open new economic corridors for entrepreneurs and local businesses.

Contractors should treat their workers fairly
To be fair, not all contractors are guilty of ghost public works projects or rampant violators of labor laws.
