If Cebu is going to have one last spectacular show before everyone celebrates Christmas this year, look no further than Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Ogie Alcasid, Marko Rudio, and NewFlame, who delivered a strong crowd-pleasing concert on Sunday, December 14.
The four acts were the latest headliners of “NUSTAR Spotlight Sessions: Grand Concert,” where they entertained Cebuanos at the luxury resort’s Grand Ballroom with their impressive vocals, audience interaction, and strong stage presence.
Girl group New Flame opened the show with their divalicious set, which included their cover of Sarah Geronimo’s “Tala” as their opener, Pussycat Dolls’ “Hush Hush,” where they sneaked in an excuse to sing Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive,” and BINI’s “Salamin Salamin.”
The five-piece group also selected audience members to sing with them on Aegis’ “Halik” and Ariana Grande’s version of Wham!’s “Last Christmas” in a videoke-like setting that showcased their strong command of entertaining the crowd, before closing their set with their sultry number of Tyla’s “Water.”
