When Shanzay Ali Rohail, bride of Junaid Safdar — grandson of former Pakistani prime minister Nawaz Sharif — chose an emerald green lehenga by Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee for her mehendi and followed it up with a kashida saree by Tarun Tahiliani for the nikah, the celebration slipped out of private albums and into a national argument.
