Nedumbassery airport railway station set to move forward

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has given assurances to Minister of State George Kurian that the much-anticipated Nedumbassery Airport Railway Station near Kochi will soon be under construction.
This marks a significant step forward in the longstanding demand from both locals and air travellers for better connectivity between Cochin International Airport and the rest of the stateThe announcement came after discussions between Kurian and Vaishnaw regarding several infrastructure improvements in Kerala. The airport railway station, a key part of the region's transportation infrastructure, will provide a much-needed boost to the regions multimodal connectivity.
It is expected to offer seamless transport options for those traveling to and from the airport, which currently handles a significant volume of passengers annually.
