May see milk price hike soon: Suresh

Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) consumers may face another price shock as Bamul President D.K. Suresh has indirectly hinted at a possible milk price hike, citing mounting losses and rising operational costs.

Speaking to the media, Suresh noted that milk prices in Karnataka remain lower compared to other states. "Selling half a liter of milk results in losses, while only one liter sales bring marginal profit,” he said.

Although no formal proposal has been submitted yet, he confirmed that a request has been made to the board to consider a revision.
