HC permits demolition of Candolim structure under strict watch

The Bombay High Court at Goa has allowed de-sealing of premises in Candolim to enable the applicant, Suzana Zulekha Ifran Tinwala, to carry out the demolition of structures found in excess of approved plans.

However, the court imposed strict conditions, directing that the demolition be done only under the supervision of the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA).

The applicant had sought permission to demolish portions of a structure at Survey No 112/1, Candolim, in compliance with a GCZMA demolition order dated May 2, 2025.
