India's construction equipment market is growing steadily thanks to PM Gati Shakti's infrastructure investments and higher government capital expenditures.

Although growth has slowed, we see a rising trend in demand for environmentally friendly and advanced technology.

The past few months have reflected slower project awards and a temporary softening in road construction in India owing to weather and other factors. These dynamics underline a near-term mixed picture for volumes but a favourable trend for higher-value, higher-quality products and export opportunities. However, the 2026 outlook remains positive and we are optimistic about its growth driven by strong government infrastructure intent, renewed focus on localisation and the global competitiveness of Indian manufacturing. Across South Asia too, with urbanisation and green project mandates, the region, especially Southeast Asia, is recovering with strong demand in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
